LEARNTEC 2026 Cohort: Where ScormIQ Started, Where We Go Next
We've been to LEARNTEC before. That's where ScormIQ started. Last year on the show floor, Thomas met Daniel Shavit from SIKA.
Daniel's team had a concrete problem: dozens of SCORM courses trapped in one language, with a translation effort that consumed months and budget every year.
We could have built a translation layer and moved on. Instead, we looked closer. Localization was a symptom of something bigger: years of expertise sat locked inside slides, impossible to search or ask questions. Together, we built ScormIQ. We're coming back this year with what grew out of that conversation, and a small experiment.
LEARNTEC is happening in 2 weeks (5-7 May, Karlsruhe). Thomas Fleck, our CEO, will be on site for all three days. Jonas Gwozdz, our research lead and PhD researcher at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences, joins him for a congress session on 5 May, 11:45-12:30, together with Daniel Shavit from SIKA.
If you're going too, let's set up a time in advance so we don't have to chase each other across the venue.

The Question No LMS Answers Well
Here's the pattern we keep seeing, and what we're doing about it.
What happens the moment a learner has a question inside a SCORM course? Most organizations respond by adding more content: longer courses, more quizzes, more modules. A few have started asking something different. What if the course itself could answer the question? Not a generic chatbot next to the course, not a helpdesk ticket, but an answer grounded in the specific slide the learner is looking at.
What SIKA Did Differently
SIKA's training team took that question seriously. They didn't rebuild their library. They didn't translate every course into every language. They equipped what they already had with an AI tutor that reads the actual content: every slide, every diagram, every audio transcript. Learners ask questions mid-course and get answers in the language they're thinking in. 70+ languages, slide-aware, no authoring rework.
That's the story Daniel from SIKA and Jonas will walk through live on the 5th.
The Experiment: LEARNTEC 2026 Cohort
For L&D teams who want to try this for themselves, not "maybe next year" but starting now, we're opening a small experiment around LEARNTEC 2026. We're calling it the LEARNTEC 2026 Cohort. Five companies. Three components. The first round of something we plan to run again after LEARNTEC.
Starter PLUS. You pay Starter-tier pricing. For the first year, three features that normally live in the Growth tier are included: Customizable Conversation Starters (set your own starter prompts so learners engage from the first click instead of staring at a blank input), Bulk Course Integration (connect your whole SCORM catalog at once instead of one course at a time), and Additional Knowledge Sources (attach your own manuals, SOPs, or policies as extra context so the tutor can answer questions that go beyond the course content itself). Same license, more capability. You decide whether to move up to Growth at renewal.
Peer Cohort. You don't pilot alone. The five teams in the cohort meet quarterly in a 60-minute online session, moderated by us. Between sessions, a private chat room stays open. The question "what do other L&D teams do with AI tutors?" gets answered in the cohort itself, not by us.
Internal Case Study. After the pilot, we co-produce a case study. You decide what goes in, so it lands with your stakeholders. We handle the design. What you get is your document: concrete numbers, learner feedback, cost comparisons. Ready to bring to your management team as proof how the pilot worked.
Meet Us at LEARNTEC
We're on site from 5 to 7 May. Thomas is there all three days. Jonas joins on 5 May for the congress session with SIKA.
We'll use the 15 or 30 minutes (your choice) to understand your SCORM situation and see whether the Cohort fits.

Or reply to this post and we'll find a time in advance.
Five slots for the LEARNTEC 2026 Cohort. Contract in Q2. Cohort begins Q3.
